Frank Klopas Hired as Montreal Impact's New Head Coach

by Ron A. Marchionna | December 20, 2013

That did not take long! Former Chicago Fire Head Coach Frank Klopas will get the opportunity to manage a true international player in Marco DiVaio, MLS' third leading scorer in 2013, as he takes over as Head Coach of the Montreal Impact in 2014. Too bad he arrives too late to also manage Alessandro Nesta, who announced that he would retire at the end of the 2013 season. Nesta and DiVaio both came up through the Lazio youth system at the same time and both made the Lazio senior team in 1993. They know what it takes to play at the highest level and have both experienced success at the highest level. What a treat for Frank Klopas to jump right back into the mix of things with a team that has a chance to win.
